The hymnbook
Eight albums of gratitude.
Each Water2Fine record is recorded on a single weekend, in a single key, with as much love as we can wedge into the gain staging. We make them slow on purpose. There is no deluxe edition. There is no bonus track. There is only the work.
About the follow-up: we did say, up on Renewed, that we had prepared one — that it is gentle, and also pointed — and kindly people keep asking when it arrives. The honest answer is the one we give about Camp Songs, Vol. 2: it is in eternal preparation. It has a working title, By Name, In Love, and it has a purpose, which is to answer — gently, and only in love — a certain airship-themed fellowship over in Carson (LitBlimp, since we say the name now) who deny that their reunion record answered ours. We accept the denial. We are preparing the reply anyway. It will be recorded the weekend it is ready and not one weekend sooner, in a single key we have not yet been given. Until then it is not on this list, and the list stays at eight, because a record you have not recorded is not a record — it is a prayer with a track listing. This one we are in no hurry to finish. Gentleness keeps. So do we.
